Spalding Named OAC Golfer-of-the-Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College junior Stephen Spalding (Stow/Walsh Jesuit) and sophomore Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) have been named as OAC Men's and Women's Golfers-of-the-Week for their performance during the week of September 5-12, 2011.  This marks the second time that Spalding and Woolf have earned the weekly honor.

Spalding earned the honor after his runner-up finish at the Pat Flowers Invitational hosted by John Carroll University on September 11-12.   He fired a career-low 71 for the first 18 holes and a 38 on the final nine for a 109-stroke total on the par-71 and 6,308-yard Shaker Heights Country Club layout. The invitational was originally scheduled to be for 36 holes, but due to inclement weather on the first day, it was shortened to a 27-hole event.

The men's team is back in action this Friday, September 16 when it participates in the 27-hole Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Invitational Tournament, hosted by Ohio Northern University, at the Colonial Players Club in Lima.
