Spalding Named OAC Athletes of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Two Baldwin-Wallace College spring student-athletes, junior men's golfer Stephen Spalding (Stow/Walsh Jesuit) and senior women's tennis player Jenny Greene (Worthington /Thomas Worthington) have been named as Ohio Athletic Conference Athletes-of-the-Week today (Monday, April 9, 2012). This marks the third weekly honor for Spalding and the second for Greene.

Spalding earned his weekly honor after capturing Medalist honors at last weekend's Ted Barclay Invitational hosted by Denison University.  He fired rounds of 74 and a tournament tying low round of 72 on the second day. The 72 also marked his best round of the year and is just one stroke off his career-best round of 71.  After four tournaments this spring, Spalding leads the team with a 75.83 stroke average.

The men's golf team is back in action on Sunday and Monday, April 15-16 when it travels to Westerville to compete in the two-day OAC Spring Invitational hosted by Otterbein University at the Little Turtle Golf Club.
