Men’s Team Finishes Third at Wooster Nye Intercollegiate

WOOSTER, OHIO – The Baldwin-Wallace College men's golf team carded a round of 328 strokes today (Tuesday, April 17, 2012) at the one-day and 18-hole The College of Wooster Nye Intercollegiate Invitational Tournament at the Wooster Country Club finishing third overall.

B-W totalled 328 strokes on the par-72 and 6,466-yard Wooster C.C. layout in its final tune up before the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Tournament. Malone University  won the event with 303 strokes.  


In terms of team play for the Yellow Jackets (five golfers make up a team with the top four scores counting toward the team total), freshman
Adam Sanders (Fairview Park/ Fairview) led the way for the Jackets carding a 78.
Senior
Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/ Padua Franciscan) and sophomore Augie Ward (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit) both carded rounds of 81, while senior Matt Warren (Copley) finished the day with an 83. Junior Stephen Spalding (Stow/ Walsh Jesuit) rounded out the Yellow Jackets efforts with an 84.

The 2012 OAC Championship Tournament, hosted by Muskingum University, will be played from April 27-29 at the River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette, Ohio.
