BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 201-12, Matt played in his second season of varsity golf. He has earned two varsity letters. Matt was never able to play basketball at B-W due to a knee injury that he suffered while at Pfeiffer (N.C.) University.

GENERAL GOLF INFORMATION:  Matt has had a solid golf career as B-W compiled a 91-83 record during his two seasons in the Brown & Gold. Matt finished his career with 17 tournaments played for 34 total rounds. He had a stroke average of 82.00 with 2788 total stokes. He shot his personal best of 76 three different times: in the Spring of 2011 and 2012 and in the Fall of 2011.

As a junior in 2010-11, Matt played in his first season of golf for the Yellow Jackets. During the fall 2010 season, Matt played two rounds of golf, in which he averaged 85.00 strokes per round. His best round was an 83 at the Wittenberg tournament. During the spring season, Matt played five rounds of golf, in which he averaged 84.91 strokes per round. His best round was a 76 in which he recorded three times starting at the Muskingum Invitational and then on day one and two of the OAC Tournament.

As a senior in 2011-12, Matt played in his second season of golf for the Yellow Jackets. During the fall 2011 season, Matt played in seven rounds of golf, in which he averaged a 79.00. His best round was a 76 at the JCU Pat Flowers Invitational. Matt finished his golf career in the Spring of 2012. He played in seven tournaments for a total of 14 rounds. He recorded 1131 total strokes for an average of 80.79 and a best round against Muskingum for a score of 76.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Matt played golf and basketball and lettered all four years in each.

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT,  ETC.)
: Matt was a three-time All Conference player in basketball.  He was also a two time All District and All Ohio.  Matts senior year was highlighted by his conference M.V.P. awards.  He was also a 1,000 point scorer during his four years.  Matt aslo attains recognition for being player of the week for The Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon Journal.  He was also part of the touchdown club and Greater Akron Basketball Coaches Associations player of the year in 2007.  Matt has also recieved all conference his senior year in golf. Matt was a member of the Honor Roll and a Scholar-Athlete.
