GRANVILLE, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished Eighth of 13 teams today (Sunday, April 10, 2011) at the annual Denison University Spring Invitational Tournament at the Granville Country Club in Granville, Ohio. This was the third of six spring events for the Yellow Jackets.

BW carded scores of 307 on the first day and 306 on the second for a 613-stroke team total on the par-71 and 6,559-yard Granville C.C. layout.  BW now has a 14-13 record this spring and an overall mark of 38-38, counting a 25-24 mark during the six-tournament fall 2010 season.

BW was led by sophomore number-one player Stephen Spalding (Stow/ Walsh Jesuit), who carded a second round score of  76 for a two-day total of 148, on the par-71, 6,559-yard Granville C.C. layout. Spalding finished tied for sixth as an indivudual.

Junior Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/ Padua Fransican) shot a second round 75 for a two-day total of 153 strokes. Freshman Augie Ward (Medina/ Walsh Jesuit) fired a 76 to finish up the tournament with 154 total stokes. Freshman Chris Nader (Westlake) fired a second round 79, for a two-day total of 158 stokes. Junior Matt Warren (Copley) rounded out the day a 86 for a total of 168 strokes.

Playing as individuals, Playing as individuals, senior Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars Area) ended the tournament with a 36-hole score of 159 (77-82) and junior Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Poly) had a 163 (84-79).

BW will next play on April 17-18 at the 54-hole Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Invitational Tournament at the Cumberland Trails Golf Course in Columbus.
