Trio of Baldwin Wallace University Student-Athletes Named OAC Players of the Week

BEREA, OHIO --  Three Baldwin Wallace University spring student-athletes shared four Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week awards today (Monday, April 25, 2011) for their efforts during the Week of April 18-24.  The three are freshman softball player Tabitha Murray (Mogadore/ Field), junior men's golf standout Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/ Padua Franciscan) and senior OAC women's tennis player-of-the-year candidate Caitlyn Pecinovsky (Whitehall/ Columbus Bishop Hartley). The award is the third in Pecinovsky's career and the first for both Murray and Jaskolski.


Jaskolski earned his award by earning medalist honors at the April 17-18 OAC Invitational Tournament at the Cumberland Trail Golf Club in Pataskala. He carded rounds of 84, 74 and 74 on the 7,000-yard layout for a 232-stroke total to best the field by three shots. He currently ranks second on the team with a 78.25-stroke average in four spring tournaments and eight rounds of golf. This Saturday and Sunday, April 30-May 1, Jaskolski will lead the Yellow Jackets into the 2011 OAC Championship Tournament at the Rivergreens Golf Club in West Lafayette.
