BW Men's Golf Team Finishes Day One in Seventh Place at the Muskingum Spring Invitational

ZANESVILLE, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team is currently in seventh place out of 15 teams at the Muskingum Spring Invitational at EagleSticks Golf Club in Zanesville, Ohio.  This is day one of a two day tournament.

 BW carded a total of 308 strokes which places them in seventh in the Invitational.

 The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore Stephen Spalding (Stow/ Walsh Jesuit) who fired a 76 on the par-70, 6,500 yard EagleSticks layout. Spalding was followed by junior Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/Padua Fransican) and freshman Augie Ward (Medina/Walsh Jesuit) who both shot a 77. Also for BW, junior Matt Warren (Copley) had a 78, and freshman Chris Nader (Westlake) rounded out the day with an 83.

Playing as individuals, junior Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Poly) shot an 80 and senior Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars Area) had an 88.

 BW returns to action tomorrow, Saturday, March 26, for day two of the Invitational with the first golfer teeing off at 10:19 A.M.
