BEREA, OHIO: The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team opened the spring portion of its 2009-10 schedule on day one (Monday, March 8) of the Spring Hill (Ala.) College Badger Invitational at Spring Hill Golf Course in Mobile, Alabama. The Yellow Jackets wrap up the tournament tomorrow with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

BW's "A" team shot 332 and the "B" team totaled 346.

For the "A" team, junior Matt Weiss (Concord/Mentor) led the way with a 79. Sophomore Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/Parma Padua Franciscan) was second with an 82 and was followed by senior Nick Bryan (Zanesville/Rosecrans) at 84 and freshman Stephen Spalding (Stow/Walsh Jesuit) at 87. Senior Mike Falk (Strongsville) rounded out the group with a 90.

For the "B" team, sophomore Chris Juszczak (East Liverpool) shot 81 and was followed by junior Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars Area) at 88, freshman Connor Cronkite (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) at 88, and senior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/St. Joseph's Central Catholic) at 91. Sophomore Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Poly) rounded out the group with a 93.

BW's first northern action is Friday and Saturday, March 26-27, at the Muskingum University Spring Invitational at Eagle Sticks Golf Course in Zanesville, Ohio.
