BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's golf student-athlete Nick Bryan (Zanesville/ Rosecrans) has been named to the 2010 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV team.  It is the second straight year that Bryan has been selected to the honors squad that covers the states of Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.

Bryan, who recently graduated Magna Cum Laude as a biology major with a 3.73 grade point average, is a three-time All-OAC and three-time Academic All-OAC At-Large selection. He is a Dean's List student, a member of the Alpha Lambda, Chi Sigma Alpha and Dayton C. Miller honor societies.

As a senior, Bryan earned his third top 10 finish (All-OAC) at the OAC Championship Tournament when he placed third with a two-day total of 147 strokes and carded rounds of 76 and a spring season-low of 71 as the Yellow Jackets tied for third. He also led BW in stroke average during both the fall (76.25) and spring (76.54) seasons.

Bryan ends his career as one of the most celebrated golfers in school history.  He finished his career with a 77.38 stroke average and owns the top two seasonal stroke average in school history -- 74.00 in the fall of 2007 and 74.55 in the fall of 2008.

"Nick was an outstanding student and golfer," said first-year Head Coach Tom Heil. "What was even more impressive about Nick was his leadership and the way in which he led.  He led by-example and was a great role model for the younger men in our program.  We congratulate Nick on having a strong season and a great career, both academically and athletically, and we wish Nick all of the best in all of his future endeavors."

To qualify for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District and Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.3 grade point average, be of sophomore or better status academically and be either a starter or key backup on his or her team.
