BEREA, OHIO: The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team competed on the second and final day (Tuesday, March 9, 2010) of the Spring Hill (Ala.) College Badger Invitational at Spring Hill Golf Course in Mobile, Alabama. This was the Yellow Jackets' first tournament of the spring.

BW's "A" team shot 329 and placed seventh and the "B" team totaled 346 on the par-72 and 6,665-yard course.

For the "A" team, sophomore Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/Parma Padua Franciscan) was the top scorer with a 79. Freshman Stephen Spalding (Stow/Walsh Jesuit) was second at 82 and was followed by senior Nick Bryan (Zanesville/ Rosecrans) at 83, junior Matt Weiss (Concord/Mentor) at 85, and senior Mike Falk (Strongsville) at 85.

Jaskolski (82-79) led BW for the tournament at 161 strokes (+17) and tied for 26th place overall. Weiss was second for BW at 164 (79-85).

For the "B" team, freshman Connor Cronkite (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) led the way with an 84. Sophomore Chris Juszczak (East Liverpool) shot 86, senior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/St. Joseph's Central Catholic) shot 88, junior Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars Area) shot 88, and sophomore Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./Riverside Poly) shot 94.

BW's first northern action is Friday and Saturday, March 26-27, at the Muskingum University Spring Invitational at Eagle Sticks Golf Course in Zanesville, Ohio.
