BEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin Wallace University junior Matt Weiss (Mentor) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for his efforts during the week of September 21-27.

Weiss earned his honor by placing in a tie for third individually at last week's OAC Invitational Tournament that BW hosted at the Fox Meadows Country Club in Medina. In that event, Weiss carded rounds of 75 and 74 for a five-over-par total of 149 strokes on the 6,917-yard, par-72 layout.  For the season, Weiss stands second on the team in stroke average at 76.50 for three fall tournaments and six total rounds.

Weiss and the Yellow Jackets end their fall season today as they are currently competing in the second round of the Mt. Union Tournament at the Alliance Country Club.
