BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team tied for fourth place out of nine teams today (Monday, September 29, 2008) at the two-day at 36-hole Mount Union Fall Invitational at Alliance Country Club in Alliance.
The Yellow Jackets shot a second-round 309 and finished with 609 total strokes on the par-70 and 6,411-yard course.
Individually, junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Nick Bryan (Zanesville/Bishop Rosecrans) led with a 75-stroke second round and finished with 149 total strokes, which tied him for 12th place overall. Freshman Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/ Parma Padua Franciscan) carded a 76 and totaled 150 for the tournament and placed 15th. Sophomore Matt Weiss (Concord/ Mentor) shot a 78 and 154 total, junior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/ St. Joseph�s Centeal Catholic) shot a 81 and 157 total and sophmore Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./ Mars Area) totaled 80 second round strokes a tallied a 157 overall.
In addition and playing as individuals at Mount Union, junior Tom Jesko (Salem/ Senior) shot a 76 and totaled 157 strokes. Freshman Chris Juszczak (East Liverpool) carded an 81 in the second round and 158 overall, and freshman Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./ Riverside Poly) shot an 85 and 169 overall.
The Yellow Jacket Men's Golf Team will conclude the fall season on Sunday and Monday, October 5-6, at the two-day Muskingum College Invitational Tournament at Eagle Sticks Golf Club in South Zanesville. Tee-times are to be announced.
