Baldwin Wallace University Men's Golf Eighth on Day One of Denison Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team shot an opening round 309 on the first day of the two-day Ted Barclay Spring Invitational hosted by Denison University at Granville Country Club in Granville, Ohio.  BW currently stands in eighth place and is only two strokes away from cracking the top five.

Leading the way for BW was junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Nick Bryan (Zanesville/ Rosecrans) with an 18-hole score of 74 on the par-71 layout.
 
Sophomore Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./ Mars) shot a 77,  junior All-OAC player Mike Falk (Strongsville) totaled 78, sophomore Matt Weiss (Concord Township/ Mentor) carded an 80 and junior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/ St. Joseph Central Catholic) shot 83.
 
Competing as individuals, freshman Chris Juszczak (East Liverpool) shot an 82 and junior Tom Jesko (Salem/ Senior) and freshman Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./ Riverside Poly) both carded an 83.
 
The Ted Barclay Spring Invitational continues tomorrow with tee times yet to be announced.  The Yellow Jackets will be in action next on April 10th and 11th at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational Tournament at the Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio.
