BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team shot a final round 300 on the second and final day of the Ted Barclay Spring Invitational hosted by Denison University at Granville Country Club in Granville, Ohio. BW finished seventh of the 14 teams competing and junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Nick Bryan (Zanesville/ Rosecrans) placed third overall in the 85-person field.
The Yellow Jackets finished at 609 strokes for the tournament. DePauw (Ind.) won the team title at 585 strokes and was followed by Wittenberg (601), Mount Union (601), John Carroll (602) and Muskingum (602) in the top five.
Bryan shot an even-par 71 on day two and finished with a two-round total of 145. Also on day two, junior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/ St. Joseph Central Catholic) carded a 73 and junior All-OAC player Mike Falk (Strongsville) and sophomore Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./ Mars) each shot 78. Sophomore Matt Weiss (Concord Township/ Mentor) rounded out the day for BW with an 82.
Competing as individuals, freshman Chris Juszczak (East Liverpool) and junior Tom Jesko (Salem/ Senior) each shot 78 and freshman Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./ Riverside Poly) carded an 80.
The Yellow Jackets will be in action on April 10 and 11 at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational Tournament at the Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio.
