BW Men's Golf Team Stands Tied for 12th at the End of the First Day of the Denison Tourney
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team stands tied for 12th after the first day of competition at the Denison University Fall Invitational Tournament today (Saturday, September 13, 2008) at the Granville Golf Club in Granville.  The final day of competition takes place on Sunday with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.
 
The Yellow Jackets totaled 317 strokes and trail first place Ohio Wesleyan University by 29 strokes.
 
Individually,  sophomore Matt Weiss (Concord/Mentor) led the team as he carded an 18-hole score of 77 on the par-71 and 6,556-yard Granville G.C. layout. In addition, junior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/St. Joseph's Central Catholic) shot a 78, freshman Ricky Jaskolski (North Royalton/Parma Padua Franciscan) had an 80, All-OAC junior Nick Bryan (Zanesville/Bishop Rosecrans) logged an 82, and sophomore Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./Mars Area) turned in an 83. 
 
The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 16 when they travel to Delaware, Ohio to participate in the Ohio Wesleyan University Fall Invitational Tournament at the Oakhaven Golf Club.  Tee times are to be announced.
