Baldwin Wallace Men's Golfers Sit in Ninth after Day One of Ohio Wesleyan Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team shot an opening round 311 on the first of the two-day Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational at Glenross Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio. BW currently stands in ninth place of 14 teams and will tee off round two tommorow at 11:36 a.m. at Oakhaven Golf Club in Delaware.

 
Leading the way for BW was junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference player Mike Falk (Strongsville) with an 18-hole score of 73 on the par-70 layout.
 
Fellow junior All-OAC player Nick Bryan (Zanesville/ Rosecrans) shot 78, junior Cory Swaisgood (Fremont/ St. Joseph Central Catholic) totaled 79, and sophomore Matt Weiss (Concord Township/ Mentor) carded an 81 to round out the Yellow Jacket scoring. Sophomore  Brian Routhieaux (Gibsonia, Pa./ Mars) was fifth for BW with an 83.
 
Competing as individuals, junior Tom Jesko (Salem/ Senior) shot 80 and freshman Kyle Lewis (Riverside, Calif./ Riverside Poly) carded an 82.
 
Following this weekend's tournament at OWU, the Yellow Jackets return to action at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Invitational hosted by Muskingum College on April 18-19 at River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette.
