BW's Nick Bryan and Mike Falk Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars

BEREA, OHIO: Baldwin Wallace University juniors Nick Bryan (Zanesville/ Rosecrans) and Mike Falk (Strongsville) were named Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Bryan is a biology major with a 3.79 grade point average. He already earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference At-Large status and ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV honors this season. He also placed in a tie for ninth at the 2009 OAC Tournament and earned All-OAC honors for the second time in his career. Bryan led BW with a 75.24 stroke average in 13 tournaments and 25 rounds of golf this season.

Falk is a business administration/accounting major with a 3.28 GPA. He returned to the team this spring after a semester of studying abroad in India and averaged 78.86 in seven tournaments and 14 rounds of play. He also carded a career-best round of 69 on the second day of the OAC Spring Invitational in mid-April.

To be eligible for Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 79.0, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
