BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Skyler Simpson played four years of basketball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned three varsity letters. He helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 58-43 record.

ACADEMIC HONORS AT BW: Skyler carries a 3.69 grade point average, is a Dean's List student, a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and a Jacket Scholar. As a senior in 2013-2014, Skyler earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.

ATHLETIC HONOR:  As a senior in 2013-2014, Skyler was named as the Al Sirat Grotto (a local Berea service group) BW Player of the Game for his efforts versus Marietta College on February 15, 2014.

GENERAL BASKETBALL INFORMATION: During his four-year career, Skyler played in 68 games, all coming off the bench. He was best known for his ability as a 6'7" forward to shoot the three-pointer. He scored 178 points, grabbed 101 rebounds and made 51 three-pointers.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Skyler played in his first season of basketball and received a certificate of participation. He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams. He appeared in one varsity game. BW finished 9-16 overall.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Skyler played his second season of basketball and earned his first varsity letter. He came off the bench and appeared in 19 games and averaged 1.6 points and 1.1 rrebounds-per-game with 10 three-pointers. Skyler had a team and career-high-tying five rebounds in a 93-74 win against No.8-ranked Marietta College in Berea on December 3, 2011. BW finished 16-10 overall.

As a junior in 2012-2013, Skyler played his third season of basketball and earned his second letter. He played in 21 games and averaged 2.5 ppg. and grabbed 1.4 rpg. He had 14 three-pointers. Skyler scored a season-high nine points in a 94-71 win against Marietta on Jan. 5, 2013. BW finished 19-6 overall.

As a senior in 2013-2014, Skyler played his fourth season of basketball and earned his third varsity letter. He came off the bench and played in all 27 games and averaged a career-high 3.6 ppg. and 1.9 rpg. with 27 three-pointers. Skyler scored a career-high 13 points in a 104-98 loss at the University of Mount Union on Feb. 5, 2014 and tied his career-high of five rebounds versus Wilmington College on Feb. 8, 2014. He was named as the Al Sirat Grotto BW Player of the Game on Feb. 15, 2014 versus Marietta. BW finished 14-13 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Skyler Simpson grew up in Centerburg, Ohio and graduated from Centerburg High School. Skyler played basektabll for four years and earned four varsity letters. For his career, Skyler averaged 18.0 ppg. and 12 rpg., had career-highs of 28 points and 15 rebounds and scored 1,128 career points.

As a freshman, Skyler earned second-team All-Mid-Buckeye League and honorable mention All-District 11, honorable mention All-Central District and honorable mention All-Mt. Vernon News accolades.

As a sophomore, he was first-team All-MBL, first-team All-District 11, second-team All-Central District, first-team All-Mount Vernon News and honorable mention All-Ohio.

As a junior, Skyler was first-team All-MBL and its Player of the Year, first-team All-District 11, second-team All-Central District, first-team All-Mount Vernon News Area and the Mount Vernon News Player of the Year and honorable mention All-Ohio.

As a senior, he earned first-team All-MBL, first-team All-District 11, second-team All-Central District, first-team All-Mount Vernon, honorble mention All-Ohio, Mount Vernon News Senior Showcase, District 11 All-Star Game, League Champs, District Champs, OHSAA (Ohio High School Athletic Association) "Sweet 16".
