Today's Contest: 
Today is Community and Family Day and Homecoming as well as the fourth Ohio Athletic Conference game for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as it hosts Capital University.  Last week, BW handed  No. 22-nationally ranked Heidleberg University its first loss of the season with an impressive 20-10 victory.  Capital fell to Marietta College by a final score of 37-7. 

The Series: 
BW and Capital are meeting for the 52nd time on the gridiron.  The Yellow Jackets hold a 39-12  series lead, including winning the last three contests and seven of the last eight meetings. The series began in 1928 when Capital defeated BW, 19-0, in Bexley.  Capital's last victory in Berea was in 2011 when they posted a 14-11 win.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert: 
Hilvert is in his fifth season at BW and has a record of  24-12 and OAC slate of 20-12. He is 90-38 in his 11th overall season and is 3-0 against Capital. 

Capital Head Coach Brian Foos:
Foos, who is in his first season at Capital, is no stranger to Berea as he served as he served as offensive coordinator on Hilvert's staff from 2016-18. He has an overall record of 1-2  and an OAC mark of 0-2.

Last Game vs. Capital -- October 5,  2019:
BW scored 37 points on 310 yards passing, 163 yards rushing and 473  total yards.  Capital scored seven points on 232 yards passing, 31 yards rushing and 263 total yards. 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: 
In week four of the season, BW scored 20 points on 206 yards rushing and 144 yards passing for a 350 yards of total offense. Heidelberg scored 10 points on 211 yards passing and 71 yards rushing for 282 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, junior Academic All-OAC quarterback Keagan Armitage (Ashland) has completed 50 of 79 passes for 541 yards with three touchdowns.  Junior All-OAC running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) leads the OAC and is 10th in NCAA Division III with 482 yards on 89 carries. Murray, Jr. is also the conference leader and tied for fourth in the NCAA with eight touchdowns. Senior wideout Darius Stokes (Canton/GlenOak) leads the receiving corps and is eighth in the OAC in yards with 254 yards and is tied for eighth in OAC with 16 catches.  Defensively, senior Academic All-OAC linebacker Nick Pankow (Medina) tops the team and the OAC with 41 tackles and is fifth in the league with four in tackles for loss.  Pankow also is tied for fifth in the league with two quarterback sacks. 

Scouting the Comets:
In week three of the season, Capital scored seven points on 155 yards passing, 54 yards rushing and 209 total yards.  Marietta scored 37 points on 239 yards rushing, 228 yards rushing and 467 total yards.

Capital Leaders: 
Offensively, senior quarterback Luke McCarrell has completed 12-of-24 passes for 154 yards with two touchdowns.  Junior running back Lance Matthews leads the ground game with 119 yards on 22 carries. Senior wide out Kameron Lee leads the receiving corps with 11 catches for 120 yards with two touchdowns.  Defensively, junior linebacker  Nick Fisanick has recorded 26 tackles with one force fumble and one fumble recovery.

Receiving Votes:
For the first time this season, BW is receiving votes in the D3football.com and AFCA National Polls.  The Yellow Jackets are 26th in D3football.com and 28th in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) polls.
