MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Freshman left-handed pitcher Carson Collins (South Bend, Ind./Saint Joseph's) of the No. 4 nationally-ranked Baldwin Wallace University baseball has been tabbed to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for the first time in his career.

Collins becomes the third Yellow Jacket this season to earn D3baseball.com Team of the Week honors.

In the past week, Collins appeared in the first two games of his collegiate career and pitched 3.1 innings of scoreless baseball. He went 1-0 and earned a save in the two appearances. His first appearance came against Saint John's (Minn.) University in which he went 1.1 innings allowing only one baserunner due to an error in the field and striking out a batter. In his second appearance, he went up against Swarthmore (Pa.) College and pitched 2 innings allowing a hit and striking out a pair.

BW returns to the field on Thursday, March 16th when it hosts a non-conference game against Oberlin College on Fisher Field at 3:30 p.m.
