WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Head Baseball Coach Brian Harrison has been selected Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year along with a conference best ten players tabbed to the All-OAC squad.

Harrison, earns his second Coach of the Year honors. Harrison led the squad to their second OAC Regular Season Title under his guidance. With an overall record of 31-10 and a 15-3 mark in the OAC, the squad secured the top seed in the OAC Tournament and set a program record with 15 conference wins.

Senior All-American infielder Luke Vonderhaar (New Breman), senior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC outfielder Vincent Capolupo (Kenmore, N.Y./Saint Joseph's Collegiate), senior All-OAC first baseman Alexis Castillo (Sunrise, Fla./The Sagemont School) and senior right-handed pitcher Garrett Miller (McMurray, Pa.) earned first team honors. 

Senior All-OAC right-handed pitcher Dawson Gabe (Lawrence, Ind.), senior Academic All-OAC left-handed pitcher Nik Baldis (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny), senior Academic All-OAC utility Ryan Guggenheim (Solon) and sophomore infielder Sean Kolenich (Parma/St. Edward) earned second team honors.

Senior catcher JT Mazula (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) and sophomore right-handed pitcher Dylan Snyder (Stow/Archbishop Hoban) were named as honorable mentions.

Vonderhaar has been named to the first team for the third consecutive season. This season, Vonderhaar posted a .314 batting average with a .415 on-base percentage and a .497 slugging percentage. He collected 55 hits, 17 doubles, which ranked fifth in the OAC, five home runs, he 45 runs scored and 42 RBIs. He also swiped eight stolen bases this season. 

In his career, Vonderhaar is hitting .326 with a .415 on-base percentage and a .576 slugging percentage. He has 171 hits, 40 doubles, 2 triples, 29 home runs, 134 runs scored and 146 RBIs. He was named an American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-America third team recipient, a D3baseball.com All-American fourth team honoree, an American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region first team selection, a D3baseball.com All-Region first team selection, the Brockport (N.Y.) NCAA All-Regional Tournament MVP and he was named to the 2022 OAC All-Tournament team.  

Off the field, Vonderhaar was the NCAA Elite 90 Award Winner for the 2022 season, a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-American, a CoSIDA Academic All-Region selection, a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree, Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Dayton C. Miller and Chi Alpha Sigma honoraries. 

Capolupo earns his second straight All-OAC and he lands on the first team for the first time in his career. Capolupo hit .321 on the season with a .419 on-base percentage and a .456 slugging percentage. He has 62 hits, 12 doubles, one triple, four home runs, 46 runs scored, 39 RBIs and 13 stolen bases. 

For his career, Capolupo is a .341 hitter with a .423 on-base percentage and a .490 slugging percentage. He has collected 149 hits, 29 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs, 117 runs scored, 79 RBIs and 32 stolen bases. He has been named an American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region second team selection, a D3baseball.com All-Region 7 honoree and was named to the OAC All-Tournament team in 2022. 

Off the field, Capolupo is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, a Dean's List student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Castillo has been tabbed to the All-OAC team for the second time in his career and earns his first first-team honors. He hit .388 this season with a .463 on-base percentage a .583 slugging percentage. He has collected 68 hits, 13 doubles, seven home runs, 37 runs scored, 42 RBIs and three stolen bases. He was named OAC Hitter of the Week twice this season and landed on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week once.

In his career, Castillo is a .387 hitter with a .450 on-base percentage and a .578 slugging percentage. He has totaled 132 hits, 26 doubles, 13 home runs, 75 runs scored and 88 RBIs.

Miller earns his first All-OAC honors this season. Miller was tied for second in the OAC with eight wins and posted an 8-0 record on the mound with two saves. He made 18 appearances and picked up five starts. He pitched 70.2 innings with a 3.57 earned run average (ERA). He allowed 28 runs on 61 walks with 19 walks and limited batters to a .229 batting average. He was also second in the OAC with 73 strikeouts. Miller was also selected to the OAC All-Tournament this season.

In his career, Miller has made 42 appearances and started 11 games on the mound. He has posted a 14-3 record with four saves. In 129.1 innings, he has allowed 61 runs, 60 earned, on 119 hits and 37 walks. He has thrown one complete game and struck out 125 batters. He has a career ERA is 4.18. Miller also earned the BW Baseball Most Outstanding Freshman Award in 2019. 

Gabe earns his second consecutive All-OAC second team honors. This season he made 13 appearances with eight starts and posted a 5-1 record with two saves. In 52.1 innings on the mound, he allowed 28 runs, 26 earned, on 52 hits and 33 walks. He posted a 4.47 ERA with 61 strikeouts and held batters to a .255 batting average. He was named OAC Pitcher of the week once and he was named to the D3baseball Team of the Week once.

In his career, Gabe has appeared in 40 games and made 31 starts. He has posted a 10-7 record with two saves. In 178.2 innings on the mound, he has allowed 96 runs, 81 earned, on 170 hits and 107 walks. He has a 4.08 ERA and has 223 strikeouts. Gabe was named to the OAC All-Tournament team in 2022 and earned the BW Outstanding Pitcher Award in 2021.

Baldis earns his first All-OAC honors this season. In 13 appearances with 10 starts he posted a 3.66 ERA. He also earned a 6-4 record with two complete games and one shutout. In 59 innings, he allowed 25 runs, 24 earned, on 55 hits and 17 walks. He struck out 47 batters and limited hitters to a .247 batting average.

In his career, Baldis has made 38 appearances, 17 starts and has two complete games. In 113 innings, he has allowed 50 runs, 43 earned, on 112 hits and 37 walks. He has posted a 3.42 ERA with 97 strikeouts.

Off the field, Baldis is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, a Dean's list student, Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society. 

Guggenheim earns his first All-OAC honors. He hit .348 with a .443 on-base percentage and a .466 slugging percentage. He has 56 hits, nine doubles, two triples, two home runs, 33 runs scored, 25 RBIs and 10 stolen bases.

In his career, Guggenheim is a .349 hitter with a .440 on-base percentage and a .481 slugging percentage. He has totaled 127 hits, 26 doubles, nine triples, four home runs, 82 runs scored, 74 RBIs and 22 stolen bases. He was an OAC All-Tournament Team selection and a Brockport (N.Y.) NCAA All-Regional Tournament selection in 2022.

Off the field, Guggenheim is a two-time Academic All-OAC selection, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society.

Kolenich has been tabbed to the All-OAC team for the first time in his career. He hit .385 this season with a .439 on-base percentage and a .519 slugging percentage. He has 72 hits, 14 doubles, one triple, three home runs, 43 runs scored, 37 RBIs and nine stolen bases.

In his career, Kolenich is a .351 hitter with a .428 on-base percentage and a .507 slugging percentage. He has totaled 131 hits, 27 doubles, two triples, nine home runs, 94 runs scored, 89 RBIs and 15 stolen bases. He was named to the Brockport (N.Y.) NCAA All-Regional Tournament team in 2022.

Mazula has been selected to the All-OAC team for the first time in his career. He hit .338 on the season with a .495 on-base percentage and a .442 slugging percentage. He has 26 hits, six doubles, one triple, 24 runs scored, 22 RBIs and three stolen bases. Mazula was named OAC Hitter of the Week for the first time in his career this season.

In his career, Mazula is a .267 hitter with a .412 on-base percentage and a .354 slugging percentage. He has totaled 64 hits, 10 doubles, four triples, one home run, 52 runs scored 50 RBIs and seven stolen bases. Off the field, Mazula is a Dean's List student.

Snyder also earned his first All-OAC honors this season. He made 14 appearances with nine starts and posted a 2-0 record with a 4.04 ERA. In 49 innings this season, he allowed 24 runs, 22 earned, on 49 hits and 21 walks. He struck out 34 batters and limited hitters to a .257 batting average. 

In his career, Snyder has appeared in 20 games and made 11 starts with a 3-0 record. In 67.2 innings, he has allowed 34 runs, 30 earned, on 65 hits and 34 walks. He has a 3.99 ERA and has struck out 47 batters. Off the field, Snyder is a Dean's List student. 

BW finished the regular season as the OAC Regular Season Champions. The Yellow Jackets posted a 31-10 overall record with a 15-3 mark in the OAC. The team waits to learn if they earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament when the NCAA baseball committee releases the bracket during a selection show on May 15th at 12:00 p.m.
