MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference shortstop Alex Ludwick (Brunswick/Padua Franciscan) has been selected to D3baseball.com All-Mideast Region team.

Ludwick, who garners his first all-region accolade, was named to the first team.   He led the BW and was second in the OAC with a career-best.434 batting average and hits with 76.  Ludwick also led the squad and was tied for first in the league with a career-best four triples. He was tied for the team lead and tied for second in the conference with a career-best eight homeruns. Ludwick was second on the squad and fourth in the OAC with career-bests in runs batted-in with 43. He also tallied a career-best 16 walks to finished tied for second on the team and tied for fifth in the league and had 14 walks to finish third on the team and tied for eighth in the OAC with 14. Ludwick also made his pitching debut as he appeared seven times on the mound and had a record of 1-1 with one save and five strikeouts in 10.2 innings. He was the OAC Hitter of the Week for the first time in his career on March 22.

In his career, Ludwick has played in 139 and has a batting average of .360. He has tallied 42 doubles, 16 triples, 12 homeruns, 144 runs scored, 125 runs batted-in, 58 walks and 36 stolen bases.  Ludwick was the Yellow Jacket  Gold Glove Award winner in 2019, which is given to team's Most Outstanding Defensive Player.

BW finished the season with an overall record of 23-16-1 and an OAC mark of 22-12-1. The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament quarterfinals.
