Waite Garners Second Career OAC Pitcher-of-the Week Honor
BEREA, Ohio --  Baldwin Wallace University senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC baseball pitcher Cory Waite (Willoughby/ South) has been named as OAC Pitcher-of-the-Week.

Waite, who garners his second career OAC weekly accolade, pitched 14 shutout innings and compiled a 2-0 record on the Yellow Jackets' 8-0 spring break trip to Port Charlotte, Florida. He made his BW-record 55th and 56th career appearances as the 17th-ranked Yellow Jackets defeated Moravian (Pa.) College, 6-2, and Montclair State (N.J.) University, 7-1.  In 14 innings, Waite allowed 15 hits, no runs, struck out nine and walked just one.

Against Moravian, Waite scattered six hits against a team that is listed among the "Others Receiving Votes" in the D3baseball.com initial Division III national poll. He was in command throughout and struck out four and did not walk a batter. Against Montclair State, he scattered nine hits, struck out five and walked one to improve to 15-5 in his career.

This Saturday, March 21, BW travels to Tiffin to play also unbeaten Heidelberg Univesity (6-0) to open the 2015 OAC season in a doubleheader at 1:00 p.m.
