SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): Josh played four years of baseball and earned four varsity letters.

ACADEMIC HONORS: Josh is a Dean's List student who carried a 3.53 grade point average.

ATHLETIC HONORS: As a junior in 2011, Josh was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week and d3baseball.com National Pitcher of the Week on March 22 for his no-hit effort against Ohio Christian University on March 18 in Chillicothe, Ohio. In that game, Josh pitched seven innings in a 12-0 win, allowed no hits, struck out six and did not walk a batter. Two baserunners reached via a third-strike passed ball and an error.

GENERAL BASEBALL INFORMATION: Josh had a solid four-year baseball career at Baldwin-Wallace College. He earned four varsity letters and was one of the top starting pitchers in the OAC during his career. During his time here in the Brown & Gold, B-W posted an overall record of 75-72-1. For his career, Josh recorded a 15-7 record. In 42 appearances, including 25 starts, he had two complete games, and struck out 129 batters in 152 innings pitched.  Josh also recorded one save in his career. Historically, Josh is tied with for two records in BW history. He is tied for the most wins in a single season with eight as he went 8-1 as senior in 2012. As a junior in 2011, Josh threw just the fourth no-hitter in Baldwin-Wallace College history on March 18, 2011 against Ohio Christian University. In that game, Josh pitched seven innings in a 12-0 win, allowed no hits, struck out six and did not walk a batter. Two baserunners reached via a third-strike passed ball and an error.

As a freshman in 2009, Josh played in his first season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter.  Josh pitched in nine games and made two starts with a 2-0 record and 7.32 earned run average. Josh also recorded a save in his 22 innings pitched, in which he allowed 23 runs (18 earned), while striking out 16, against nine walks.  B-W finished the season 19-19 overall.

As a sophomore in 2010, Josh played in his second season of baseball and earned his second varsity letter.  Josh pitched in 10 games, starting in five.  He posted a 1-2 record with a 9.55 ERA over 33 innings pitched.  Josh also struck out 27 batters and had one complete game.  B-W finished the season 12-23-1 overall.

As a junior in 2011, Josh played his third season of baseball.  He appeared in 11 games, starting seven of them.  He finsihed with a record of 4-3 and a 4.29 ERA over 42 innings.  Josh led the team in strikeouts with 43 and opposing batters hit just .256 against him.  He was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week and d3baseball.com National Pitcher of the Week on March 22 for his no-hit effort against Ohio Christian University on March 18 in Chillicothe, Ohio. In that game, Josh pitched seven innings in a 12-0 win, allowed no hits, struck out six and did not walk a batter. Two baserunners reached via a third-strike passed ball and an error.  It was just the fourth no-hitter in school history.  B-W finished the season with a 17-17 record.

As a senior in 2012, Josh competed in his fourth season of baseball. He appeared in 12 games, starting 11 of them. Josh finished with a team-best record of 8-2 with a 6.05 ERA over 55 innings pitched. Josh was also third on the team with 43 strikeouts. B-W finished with a record best 27 wins with a 27-13 record.

Josh was also awarded the Most Valuable Offensive Lineman Award on his team and the Pony Award for making the most outstanding plays.
