RICHMOND, Va. -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving programs have been named as College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) 2023 Fall Scholar All-America teams

BW, who had both teams recognized for the second straight season, was one of 783 teams from 461 institutions to be selected to the Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2023 semester. These teams, representing a total of 18,716 student-athletes, were chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the specified semester.

In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 595 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

Under the direction of veteran head coach Laura Demaline, the Yellow Jacket women had a 3.38 grade point average with 23 student-athletes while the BW men carried a 3.31 grade point average reprsented by 22 student-athletes.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Wednesday through saturday, February 14-17 when they travel to Akron to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Wimington College in the Ocasek Natatorium on the campus of the University of Akron.
