Women's Cross Country Takes 23rd at the NCAA Division III National Preview

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team finished in 23rd place at the NCAA Division III National Preview hosted by Olivet College on Forest Akers Golf Course.

BW placed 23rd of 36 teams with a total of 673 points. University of Chicago was the team champion with 59 points.

BW was led by:

  • Sophomore All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Hope Murphy (Mogadore) placed 46th at a time of 23:13.4
  • Sophomore Jaelyn Jaquay (Cherry Valley, N.Y. / Springfield Central) finished 142nd in a time of 24:33.0
  • Junior Academic All-OAC performer Maddie Miller (Medina) finished 154th in a time of 24:41.5 
  • Sophomore Cassie Kolonchuk (Canal Winchester) placed 214th in a time of 25:44.4  
  • Freshman Katie Plecko (Ravenna / Rootstown) finished 216th in a time of 25:46.0 

The Yellow Jackets will return to the course on Saturday, October 15th when they travel to Oberlin to compete in the  Inter-Regional Rumble on the Oberlin College Cross Country Course.
