Laughner Named OAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week

WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection Alyssa Laughner (Howard, Pa./Central Mountain) has been named the OAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time in her career.

BW competed alongside other NCAA Division III programs, in the Wittenberg Invitational held Saturday. The invitational was hosted by Wittenberg University on the Clark County Fairgrounds in Springfield, Ohio.

Laughner was the top Yellow Jacket runner, completing the race in a career best time of 23:14.5 and garnering an impressive first place finish out of all 118 Division III participants. Laughner's performance helped BW secure fourth place amidst all 11 competing Division III schools.

The Yellow Jackets will return to the course on Saturday, September 18th when they travel to Meadville, Pa. to compete in the Allegheny (Pa.) Classic on the Robertson Athletic Complex, hosted by Allegheny College
