Women’s Tennis Falls to Oberlin

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis dropped their final non-conference match to Oberlin College by a final score of 9-0 inside the Heisman Field House.

With the loss, BW falls to 1-8 on the year. Oberlin moves to .500 at 6-6.

Doubles (Oberlin, 3-0)

  • The No. 1 duo of senior All-OAC Ashtyn Morris (Salem) and sophomore All-OAC Gabriela Heideman (Doylestown/Wadsworth) fell to Dina Nouaime and Francesca Kern by a score of 8-0.
  • The No. 2 pairing of sophomore Kierstyn Yates (Grafton/Midview) and freshman Hanna LeMaster (Avon) dropped their match to Anna Pastore and Marta Laska by a score of 8-0.
  • The No. 3 group of freshmen Mattie Hicks (Oneida, N.Y.) and Emma Trost (Norwalk) fell to Alandria Bellamy and Hannah Keidan by a score of 8-1.

Singles (Oberlin, 9-0)

  • At No. 1 singles, Morris fell to Pastore by scores of 6-2, 6-1.
  • Heideman dropped No. 2 singles to Laska by scores of 6-0, 6-2.
  • In the No. 3 spot, Yates fell to Claudia Olaes by scores of 6-2, 6-1.
  • In the closest competition of the match, LeMaster fell to Bellamy by scores of 6-2, 6-3.
  • Trost dropped No. 5 singles to Kern by scores of 6-0, 6-3.
  • In the final spot, senior Kami DiRocco (Akron/Copley) fell to Keidan by scores of 6-0, 6-1.

The Yellow Jackets return to the courts on Wednesday, April 6th when they open up Ohio Athletic Conference play on the road at Alliance for a match against the University of Mount Union at 3:30 p.m. on the Whitehill Tennis Courts.
