BEREA, OHIO --  Matt Curley and Casey Bradley will both be in their first season as assistant wrestling coaches at Baldwin Wallace University.

Coach Curley, a 2011 graduate of Heidelberg University, comes to BW after spending last winter as a coach at Stow-Munroe Falls (Ohio) High School. Coach Bradley, a 2011 graduate of NCAA Division II Limestone (S.C.) College, comes to BW after spending last year as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Wabash (Ind.) College. Both Curley and Bradley have a wealth of wrestling experience.

While at Heidelberg, Curley majored in political science and minored in German. He was a four-year letterman and a two-time Ohio Athletic Conference champion on a team that won four straight OAC Tournament titles (2007-2008 through 2010-11) and back-to-back OAC regular season titles (2008-2009 and 2009-2010). Curley also was a three-time NCAA Division III national tournament qualifier and received NWCA (National Wrestling Coaches Association) All-America Scholar honors in 2010-11.

In addition, Curley ranks fourth all-time on Heidelberg's all-time victory list with 104 and is 12th all-time for single-season victories. He also participated in track and threw the javelin on the 2009-2010 OAC Championship team.

Coach Curley, who resides in Brook Park, works as a treatment specialist at Guidestone in Berea.

While at Limestone, Bradley earned a Bachelors of Scienece degree, majored in health and physical education and minored in coaching. He was a team captain, four-year starter and letterman, a 2010-11 Division II All-American and a two-time regional placewinner. In addition, he was a two-time Ohio Northern University Invitational champion and a multiple placer at other tournaments.

Coach Bradley ended his collegiate career with 96 victories, was the Limestone College "Rookie of the Year" in 2007-2008, "The Rock" Award winner for leadership in 2009-2010 and the Most Valuable Wrestler in 2010-2011.

"We welcome both Matt and Casey to the Baldwin Wallace athletics family," said BW Director of Athletics Kris A. Diaz. "Both young men have a wealth of wrestling experience and will be assets to Head Coach Jamie Gibbs, our student-athletes and wrestling program."

"We feel that Matt and Casey will be big assets to our program," said Gibbs, who is in his second season as head coach after coaching at the University of North Carolina Pembrooke. "Both men were successful competitors on the mat in both high school and at the collegiate level, and each one knows the value of a good, quality education at a school like BW.  Matt knows the OAC and what it takes to be successful in our league.  Casey was an All-American at the Division II level and my teams at Pembrooke competed against his team at Limestone, so I am familiar with him. We look forward to working with both of them as we build the BW program into one of the best in the OAC and Division III."
