BEREA, Ohio – Four Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse student-athletes have been named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.
Senior attack Emma Harding (Akron/Revere), senior defender Allyson Helleis (Rocky River), junior Maddie Russell (Lakewood/Rocky River) and junior Jenna Turner (Carmel, Ind.) are four of the 34 BW spring sports student-athletes named as Academic All-OAC.
In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be in residence at the school for at least a year and maintain varsity status.
Harding, a two-year letterwinner in women's lacrosse, garners her third career Academic All-OAC honor. She also is a three-year letterwinner and a two-time Academic All-OAC selection in women's soccer. Harding is a sport management major who carries a 3.94 grade point average. She is a Dean's List student and Jacket Scholar. Harding is a member of the Alpha Lambda, Dayton C. Miller and Chi Sigma Alpha honoraries. She earned the Coaches Award in soccer as a junior. Harding graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Russell, a three-year letterwinner and three-time first-team All-OAC selection, garners her second career Academic All-OAC honor. She is a chemistry major who carries a 3.95 grade point average. Russell is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. She was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 team and is now a candidate for Academic All-American honors. Russell owns the BW game-record in three categories, holds two season school-records and is the school career record-holder in six categories.
Turner, a three-year letterwinner in women's lacrosse, garners her second career Academic All-OAC honor. She is a pre-physical therapy major who carries a 3.89 grade point average. Turner is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. She is a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha and Dayton C. Miller honor societies.
