BW Women's Lacrosse Announces Assistant Coaching Staff

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University first-year Head Lacrosse Coach Kim Russell has announced the hiring of Candis Parry, Carl Dukich, Alyssa Stefanadis and Michael Worrall as assistant coaches. 

These four coaches join Russell as part of BW's first-ever women's lacrosse team and will bring diverse backgrounds to the University.  

Parry arrives at BW after spending the past 18 years as a Supervisor of Officials for lacrosse and field hockey for the North Coast Athletic Conference. As a part of her decorated resume, her most recent experience at the collegiate level for lacrosse was at Brown (R.I.) University. She also has collegiate experience at Dickinson (Pa.) College, and her graduate alma mater Ithaca (N.Y.) College. She also has experience coaching at the high school level at Park Tudor School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she started the first girls high school lacrosse program in the state of Indiana in 1997. The three-time Indiana High School Lacrosse Coach of the Year led the Park Tudor team to the Final Four for 14 consecutive seasons, winning the state championship in 2006, and finishing as the runner-up nine times.

The native of Abington, Pa., Parry earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Psychology at Ursinus (Pa.) College and a Masters of Science at Ithaca.

Dukich comes to BW with more than 25 years of coaching experience in several sports, most recently as an assistant coach for Ohio Premier Girls'/Women's Lacrosse in Rocky River, Ohio. There, he focused on skill development, defense and goalies for girls and young women ages 5-18.

In addition to her duties on the lacrosse field, Stefanadis is in her first year as BW's graduate assistant for Student-Athlete Services Office. There she provides academic and career support as well as related programming to BW's Student-Athlete Mentoring program. She also serves as the co-adviser of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Stefanadis, a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, earned her Bachelor's of Science in exercise science degree from Shippensburg (Pa.) University, where she served as a captain of the field hockey team and helped it clinch a berth in the NCAA Division II Playoffs four times.  As an undergraduate, Stefanadis was the Social Chair of the Athletic Service Fraternity, Tau Kappa, and served as the chairperson for several community service groups.  She also is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in sport management.

Worrall graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Exercise Science from Nottingham University. He has a highly decorated resume as a player and coach for lacrosse. Worrall currently is playing his third season at the professional level as a member of the England Lacrosse Senior Men's Team from Manchester, England. In addition to playing at the international level, he has experience playing for many club teams such as Cheshire County, Nottingham Lacrosse, Poynton Lacrosse from England, and the Sturt Lacrosse Club in Australia. He also was a varsity letterman and team captain for the Nottingham University lacrosse team for three years (2003-2006).

Worrall has coached the last three years at the high school and club level in Northeast Ohio at Ohio Premier Girls Lacrosse, The Force Girls Youth Development, and the Strongsville Girls Middle School and Youth lacrosse teams. Prior to his Ohio coaching experience, he has experience coaching in England and Australia for eight years.  He currently resides in Rocky River, Ohio.
