But Hope came right back with a triple from Kust to regain a 10-point lead at 18-8 at 8:28.

After Carpenter canned a jumper at 7:55 to make it 18-10, Hope gained a point on a foul shot by Llorens at 6:49 to up the lead to 19-10.  B-W then got within seven points at 19-12 at 6:17 when freshman guard Audrey Smolik (Strongsville) made a jump shot. But a 5-0 run by Hope increased the lead to 12 points at 24-12 before a jumper by Yellow Jacket freshman forward Jenna Andreas (Pickerington/ North) cut the lead to 24-14 with 2:50 left before the intermission.

Another 4-0 Hope run made it 28-14 with 1:42 left before Coulter grabbed a rebound and scored at 1:09 and Smolik added a jumper with 32 seconds left to cut the lead to 10 points again at 28-18.  Hope got the final basketball of the half when Llorens made a jumper with 13 seconds left for a 30-18 advantage.

That was as close as the Jackets would get for the rest of the contest as a pair of subsequent Hope runs ended matters.

A 9-4 run by Hope pushed its lead to a game-high of 14 points at 45-31 with 11:12 left before a Lairson jumper at 10:27 ended the run and pulled B-W to within 45-33.
