Softball Honors Four Senior Student-Athletes

BEREA, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University Athletic Department and softball program would like to congratulate senior student-athletes Alex Kozich, Macy Leach, Mackenzie Milligan and Kami Miracle on completing their outstanding athletic careers at the University.

While the NCAA has extended another year of eligibility, it is uncertain if each of these student-athlete will come back for another season or continue down their career path.  So, the University administration, faculty and staff congratulates these four young women on their outstanding athletic and academic careers as well as their leadership to the softball program. The University would like to wish each of them all the best of luck in their future endeavors and hope that even after graduation that they come back and visit us often. They will always be a Yellow Jacket for Life (YJ4L).

Kozich is a pre-physical therapy and pre-allied health and exercise science double major from Avon, Ohio and a graduate of Avon High School. She is an All-Ohio Athletic Conference and National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Central Region second baseman that will earn her fourth varsity letter this spring. In her career, Kozich has appeared 151 games and has a .311 batting average with 286 putouts, 190 assists, 146 hits, 76 runs batted-in, 30 doubles, 30 stolen bases, 26 walks, six triples and six homeruns. Off the field, she is a three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference, College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District 7 selection, Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar.  Kozich is the daughter of Edward and Jane Kozich of Avon.

 

 

 

Leach is a business management graduate major from Westerville, Ohio and a graduate of Westerville Central High School. She is an All-Ohio Athletic Conference center fielder that will earn her fourth varsity letter this spring. For her career, Leach appeared in 105 games and had a .335 batting average with 140 putouts, 95 hits, 53 runs batted-in, 32 walks, 25 stolen bases, 16 doubles 10 assists, four triples and one home run. Off the field, she is a Dean's List student. Leach is the daughter of Tom and Keri Leach of Westerville.

 

 

 

 

Milligan is a business administration major from Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of St. Joseph Academy.  She is a first baseman that will earn her third varsity letter this spring. In her career, Milligan has appeared in 88 games and has a .275 batting average with 377 putouts, 57 hits, 31 runs batted-in, 26 walks, 12 assists, eight doubles, six home runs and one stolen base. She is the daughter of Kevin and Michelle Milligan of Cleveland.

 

 

 

 

 

Miracle is a biology major from Uniontown, Ohio and a graduate of Green High School. She is a third baseman that will earn her second varsity letter this spring. For her career, Miracle has appeared in 84 games and has .249 batting average with 100 assists, 57 putouts, 52 hits, 22 runs batted-in, 18 walks, eight doubles and one triple. Off the field, she is an Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection, a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. Miracle is the daughter of Troy and Tanya Miracle of Uniontown.
