Camarati Garners Third OAC Softball Pitcher of the Week Honor of Season, Seventh of Career

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University softball All-Ohio Athletic Conference junior right handed pitcher Nikki Camarati (Brunswick/Holy Name) has been named the OAC Softball Pitcher for the second straight week the third this season and for the seventh time in her career. 

Camarati led BW (15-7, 13-7 OAC) to four victories over John Carroll University last weekend as she had a record of 2-0 with 25 strikeouts and five walks in 17 innings pitched.   She started off the weekend with a 4-3 victory on Saturday as she allowed three runs on seven hits with a career-best tying 15 strikeouts and three walks in a career-high 15 innings. Camarati closed out the weekend with a 7-2 victory in which she allowed two runs on eight hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks.

This season, she leads the OAC in wins with 10, earned run average with a 2.22 ERA and in strikeouts with 131, which is 85 better than second.

For her career, Camarati has appeared 49 games with 39 starts.   She has record of 31-8 with three saves.   Camarati ranks second on the schools' all-time ERA list with 1.63, is second all-time in strikeouts with 353 and is tied for ninth in career wins with 31.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, April 17 when it hosts an OAC doubleheader against Marietta College on the BW Softball Field at the Roehm Athletic Complex at 1 p.m.
