AUSTIN, Texas – Baldwin Wallace University softball senior four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference right fielder Alexis Boledovic (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) has been selected as a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/Google Cloud first-team Academic All-American.

Boledovic, who carried a 3.91 GPA in pre-physical therapy and exercise science, garners her first Academic All-American honor after being a two-time first-team All-District 7 selection.  In addition, she is a three-time Academic All-OAC selection, a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma, Alpha Lambda Delta and Dayton C. Miller honor societies and the 2019 BW Female Clyde Lamb Award recipient.  Boledovic was one of two OAC student-athletes to be honored and both were selected to the first-team.

This season, she hit for a career-best and OAC leading .454 with a single-season school record and OAC leading 69 hits and a single-season school record 44 runs scored.  Boledovic led the team and was tied for first in the league with a career-high five triples.   She was the team leader and ranked third in the OAC with a career-high 39 runs batted-in (RBIs) and a career-best 16 doubles.  Boledovic added a career-high three home runs and was second on the team with a 11 stolen bases.  She was named a first-team National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Central Region selection for the first-time in her career.

For her career, Boledovic batted .409 batting average with 195 hits, 109 runs scored, 81 RBIs, 38 doubles, 36 walks, 35 stolen bases, nine triples and three home runs. She ends her illustrious as she ranks tied for second all-time in triples, fourth in hits, tied for fifth in runs scored, sixth in doubles and stolen bases and tied for ninth in RBIs.

Boledovic becomes BW's 117 all-time Academic All-American, second this spring as she joins baseball right-hander Danny Cody and sixth of the 2018-19 year.  The 117 Academic All-American is more than any other Division III college or university in the OAC or the state of Ohio and ranks 13th nationally in Division III.

The Yellow Jacket softball team finished the 2019 campaign with a school-record 33 wins and a 13-5 mark in conference, advancing to the OAC Tournament for the first time since the 2011 season.
