Two Softball Athletes Named to Academic All-OAC Team

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio- Two Baldwin Wallace University softball student-athletes were named to the Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

In order to be selected to the Academic All-OAC team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Sophomore 2nd basemen Alex Kozich (Avon) and junior All-OAC outfielder Alexis Boledovic (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) each earned Academic All-OAC honors.

Kozich, who earns her first career Academic All-Conference accolade, is a pre-physical therapy major who carries a 3.95 GPA. The sophomore is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and received the Received the BW Academic Excellence Award for highest GPA on the team. She appeared in and started all 32 games in the 2018 season and was second the team with a career-high tying 39 assists and six stolen bases. Kozich finished tied for third on the squad with 18 runs scored and tallied seven runs batted-in.  

Boledovic, earning her second consecutive Academic All-OAC honor, is an exercise science and pre-physical therapy double major who carries a 3.87 GPA. The outfielder is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies. During the 2018 campaign, Boledovic started in all 32 games while leading most of the offensive categories for the Jackets. She led the team with a career-best .440 batting average, 51 hits, .534 slugging percentage, .492 on base percentage and 13 stolen bases. She was tabbed to the All-OAC second team and was named to the Google Cloud Division III Academic All-District 7 team.
