Four Softball Players Garner All-OAC Accolades

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Four Baldwin Wallace University softball student-athletes have been named to the 2018 All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

Junior shortstop Erica English (North Olmsted) was selected to the first team. Both junior outfielder Alexis Boledovic (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) and freshman left-handed pitcher Abby Cosart (Lima/Both) were tabbed to the second team while freshman third baseman Alex Dick (Elyria) was an honorable mention selection.

English earns her second All-OAC honor after an honorable mention selection as a freshman in 2016. The junior had a career season with a .396 batting average, 42 hits, seven doubles and 18 runs batted in (RBIs). She also tallied a career-high 62 putouts while only recording three errors for a career-best .975 fielding percentage. For her career, English has a .343 batting average, a .393 slugging percentage and a .393 on-base percentage with 13 doubles, 31 RBIs and 53 runs scored.

Boledovic garners her third straight All-OAC accolade after leading the team for the third consecutive season. She turned in career-highs in batting average (.440), hits (51) and RBIs (24) while also recording 24 putouts. For her career, Boledovic has a batting average of .383, an on-base percentage of .440 and a slugging percentage of .474 with 22 doubles, three triples, 26 walks and 42 RBIs. Off the field, she is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar, a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Societies as well as a student photographer for University Relations.

Cosart earns her first career All-OAC honor after a stellar freshman campaign. The lefty finished off the 2018 season with a 7-5 record and a 3.19 earned run average in 79 innings pitched with nine complete games, two shutouts and one save. Batters hit .296 against Cosart, who recorded 30 strikeouts. At the plate, the freshman had a .429 average with one double.

Dick also garners her first career All-OAC accolade after recording a .364 batting average in just 17 games. The transfer freshman had 16 hits, one double, six RBIs and six runs scored in her first collegiate season.

BW finished the 2018 season with a 16-16 record and a 9-9 mark in the OAC
