B-W Softball Team Earns Two Victories on Day Two of the Rebel Spring Games

KISSIMMEE, FLA. -- The Baldwin-Wallace College softball team remained undefeated by posting two victories today (Monday, March 7) over Wittenberg University and Waynesburg (Pa.) University on day two of the annual Rebel Spring Games at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex.
B-W defeated Wittenberg by a final score of 10-1 in five innings and came back to defeat Waynesburg, 2-1, in a tough seven inning battle. The Yellow Jackets will play six more games in three days.

Against Wittenberg, the B-W offense was sparked by freshman right fielder Tabitha Murray (Mogadore/Field) who went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored. Freshman pitcher Justina Wise (New London)recorded her first complete game and her second straight victory. Wise allowed just one earned run on three hits struck out seven and did not surrender a walk.

In the game versus Waynesburg, Wise picked up her third victory of the season after pitching 3.2 innings of relief while allowing just two hits and striking out five. Senior first baseman Katrina Resek (Strongsville) led the B-W offensive attack as she went 3-for-4 for with one run scored. Freshman shortstop Lauren Feciuch (Kent/Field) recorded the game-winning RBI in the fourth inning as she hit her first collegiate triple in to the right center gap.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action tomorrow Tuesday, March 8 when they will play Wesley (Del.) College at 3:00 p.m. and then will face Emmanuel (Mass.) College at 5:00 p.m.
