BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College softball senior leftfielder Chelsea Saunders (Hinckley/Medina Highland) and junior catcher Tanya Davis (Hinckley/Medina Highland) have been named to the 2010 All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. 

Saunders was tabbed as a first-team selection and Davis was named honorable mention.

Saunders, who was an honorable mention pick a year ago, finished the season with a .394 batting average, 31 runs scored, two triples and 11 stolen bases in 12 attempts. During OAC action, she batted .422 with four stolen bases. 

Saunders played just two seasons in the Brown & Gold after transferring in as a junior. In 80 career games and starts, she finished with a .393 batting average, 105 base-hits, 61 runs scored and 21 steals.

Davis, who was a first-team pick as a freshman in 2008, batted .409 with 27 runs scored, nine doubles and a team-leading seven homeruns and 39 runs batted-in. Davis also stole eight bases in nine attempts, had a fine .987 fielding average with just two errors in 153 total chances and led the team with a .646 slugging and .434 on-base average. In OAC play, she hit .425 with two homers and 15 RBI.

After three seasons, Davis has a .404 career batting average with 109 runs scored, 42 doubles, five triples, 16 homers, 117 RBI, 26 steals in 30 attempts and a .978 fielding average. She also was tabbed as a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV selection last week and for the second straight year.

The Yellow Jackets finished the season at 23-17 overall.
