Baldwin-Wallace's Tanya Davis Named ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College sophomore catcher Tanya Davis (Hinckley/ Medina Highland) has been named to the 2009 ESPN THE MAGAZINEAcademic All-District IV softball team. Davis was chosen as a first-team selection and becomes eligible for the Academic All-America process.

Davis is a pre-physical therapy/exercise science major who carries a 3.88 grade-point-average. She batted .382 with three homeruns and 39 runs batted-in this season and led the Yellow Jackets with 16 doubles and 40 runs scored.

Prior to the season, she was named a Division III Softball Newsletter Preseason All-American after earning first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference and first-team All-Central Region honors in 2008.
