Baldwin-Wallace College Softball Junior Outfielder Mallory Kobak Named Second-Team All-Region

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College junior outfielderMallory Kobak (Independence) has been named to the 2009 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Central Region team. Kobak was tabbed as a second-team selection.

Kobak batted a team-best .404 in the leadoff spot in the lineup and set B-W single-season records with 59 base hits and 34 stolen bases. She also led the Ohio Athletic Conference in steals and triples (six). Kobak started all 40 games in center field and was named a team captain in her first season in the Brown & Gold.

B-W finished the season at 24-16 overall and 10-8 in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets lose only one player to graduation and are expected to return 10 starters, including five seniors in 2010.
