Baldwin-Wallace's Myor and Rohrbacher Earn OAC Softball Player of the Week Honors

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College softball senior first baseman Caitlin Myor (Sheffield Lake/ Elyria Senior) and sophomore pitcher Mackenzie Rohrbacher (Sandusky/ Senior)have been tabbed as the Ohio Athletic Conference Hitter and Pitcher-of-the-Week, respectively, for their performance during the Yellow Jackets' six-game win streak last week.

B-W opened the week with a doubleheader sweep at Wooster and swept OAC twin bills versus Heidelberg and at Capital.

Myor, a 2008 honorable mention All-OAC selection, batted .579 (11-for-19) with three homeruns and six runs batted-in en route to earning player of the week honors for the second time this season. Myor also had an impressive 1.105 slugging percentage and did not commit an error while totaling 39 putouts at first base. 

She currently ranks second all-time in BW history with 28 homers and 117 RBI. Former Yellow Jacket Nicole Loudin '06 holds the school record in each category with 37 homeruns and 123 RBI. Myor also is closing in on her own school-records of 12 homers and 46 RBI in the 2008 season. She has nine round-trippers and 35 RBI to this point in 2009.

Rohrbacher was a perfect 3-0 for the week with a fine 0.41 earned run average. She struck out 16 batters in 17 innings of work and allowed 11 hits and four walks. For the year, she is 7-4 with a 2.11 ERA and seven complete games.

The Yellow Jackets, 16-8 overall and 4-2 in the OAC, host a key conference doubleheader on Wednesday, April 8 against ninth-ranked Ohio Northern University at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds Field at 3:30 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Tuesday but was postponed due to inclement weather.
