Declan Pierce

Declan Pierce enters his second season as a graduate assistant men's volleyball coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2024.

Pierce, who came to BW from NCAA Division II D'Youville (N.Y.) College, responsibilities included recruiting, assisting in practice plans, drafting strength and conditioning workouts, and creating scouting reports.

While at D'Youville, Pierce he was an assistant coach and served as a University recruiter where he attended local high school Career Fairs, collaborated with prospected students during all cycles of enrollment, and connected with many difference departments on campus.

Pierce earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology in movement science from Penn State University.  While at Penn State, he was a four-year member of the Nittany Lions men's volleyball team.  Pierce was named Academic All-Big Team in 2019 and was an Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Conference Champions in 2017. In addition, he worked in the Kinesiology Department as an assistant to Alumni Relations coordinator and completed an Athletic Training internship.

Pierce has also competed for the Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club and was a camp coach at the Eden Mizuno Volleyball Instructional Camps and the Penn State Men's Volleyball Camps. His volunteer work includes working with United Way Day of Caring and the Centre Region Down Syndrome Society.

Pierce is pursuing a Master's Degree in sport management.
