Todd Swisher '94

Todd Swisher '94 will enter his 27th season as an assistant at Baldwin Wallace University in 2023-2024.  He has helped to produce some of the areas’ finest hurdlers and sprinters at both the high school and collegiate level. Coach Swisher will be in his seventh year as the jumps coach this season.

After the 2013-2014 indoor season, Swisher was named as USTFCCCA (United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) Division III Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year award-winner.  He also helped the Yellow Jacket win capture the 2016 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field National Championship and a 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field runner-up finish.

Swisher is a 1994 graduate of BW.  He ran both indoor and outdoor track for the legendary Dr. Bill Taraschke at the University from the winter of 1990 through 1993. He was a member of the 1992 Ohio Athletic Conference champion and NCAA Division III National Championship Meet qualifying 400-meter relay team. Swisher is a 1989 graduate of Mentor High School

Swisher began his coaching career at BW in 1996 and is in his second stint at the University. In addition to Winters, Kasper and Armstrong, he has mentored All-Americans Brandon Eddy, Jeff Petersmeyer '96 and Issac Fears and national qualifiers Rochelle Meyer, Libby Nelson, Justin Miller and Eric Schmuhl.

Swisher is currently employed at Berea-Midpark High School as a social studies teacher.  He and his wife, Danielle, have two sons, Kade and Maddox.
