OBERLIN, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's swimming and diving team finished fourth  at the three-day Oberlin College Invitational in the Carr Pool inside the Philips Physical Education Center.

BW (7-0) was fourth of 12 teams with 504.5 points. Alfred State College was the champion with 832.5 points.

The Yellow Jackets individual highlights included: 

• Freshmen Jason Heisler (Saline, Mich. / Saline) places second the 1-meter dive with a score of 405.85 and second in the 3-meter dive with a score of 401.95
• Sophomore Gannon Mellett (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Moon Area) places second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:45.25 and finished seventh in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 4:55.40 
• Sophomore Tommie McQueary (Batavia/Bethel Tate) finished sixth in the 200-yard buttefly in a time of 1:58.03 and placed seventh in a the 200-yard individual medley in a time of 1:59.06 and eighth in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 52.06 seconds
• Junior Mason Kooyman (Concord Township / Chardon) finished 11th in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 22.19 seconds and 12th in 100-yard freestyle in a time of 48.82 seconds
• Sophomore Jason Tafoya (El Paso, Texas) placedsfourth in the 400-yard in the individual medley in a time of 4:24.47
• Senior Alec McNeill (Avon Lake) finished 20th in the 100-yard breaststoke in a time of 1:04.21
• Freshman Nolan Szuch (Springboro) finished 10th in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 55.94 seconds and fifth in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:59.86
• Sophomore Gavin Skwirut (Latrobe, Pa. / Greater Latrobe) places 15th in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:27.53
• Freshman Kevin Meyer (Mentor) placed 12th in the 1650-yard freestyle in a time of 18:38.46

BW relays were highlighted by:

• The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Kooyman, Mellett, sophomore Will Bolin (Mansfield / Ontario) and sophomore Luke Minick (Stow / Archbishop Hoban) places seventh in a time of 1:28.88 
• The 400-yard freestyle relay squad of Mellett, sophomore Austin Kingsley (Northport, N.Y.), McQueary, and Kooyman finished sixth in a time of 3:14.22
• The 800-yard freestyle relay team of Kingsley, Mellett, Meyer and McQueary places fourth in a time of 7:16.88
• The 200-yard medley relay squad of Szuch, McQueary, Kingsley, and Kooyman finished eighth in a time of 1:39.19
• The 400-yard medley relay team of Szuch, McQueary, Kingsley, and Kooyman finished eighth in a time of 3:37.81

The Yellow Jackets return to the pool on Saturday, December 3 when it hosts Malone University in the BW Natatorium inside the Lou Higgins Center.
