Wayne Schneider

Wayne Schneider enters his 11th season as Head Men's Golf Coach at Baldwin Wallace University in 2023-24.

The 2018-19 Ohio Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, 

Prior to coming to BW, Schneider, who was the 2018-19 Ohio Athleyic Conference Coach of the Year, taught health and physical education and held numerous coaching positions in the Berea City School District.  At the high school level, he was the head wrestling coach and head golf coach.  At the junior high level, Schneider was a head football, wrestling and track and field coach.  He also served as an Interim Middle School Athletic Director.

In college, Schneider earned varsity letters in baseball and golf at Cuyahoga Community College.  At Kent State University, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in health and physical education with a minor in speech and English and a Master's Degree in physical education.  He acted as the secretary for Phi Epsilon Kappa, Men's Physical Education Honorary.  Also, he was a news reporter on WKSU FM and a disc jockey on WKSU AM.

Schneider resides with his wife, Linda, a registered nurse and former flight attendant ,who returned to school and graduated from BW in 2007 with a degree in theater.  The Schneider's have a son, Adam who is a H.P.E. teacher and head high school wrestling coach and daughter-in-law, Linda who is a kindergarten teacher.  They have two daughters, Kaylee Ann and Adalin Grace, who reside in South Carolina.
