Baldwin Wallace University Freshman Kyle Payne is the OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University freshman Kyle Payne (Brunswick) is this week's (November 29, 2010) Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for his efforts last week in games against Geneva College of Pennsylvania November 23 and versus Hiram College on Nov. 28.


Payne scored 45 points to average 22.5 points-per-game, grabbed six rebounds and made one steal in 54 minutes of action. He made 17 of 23 field goal attempts for 70.8 percent, including 6-of-8 three-pointers (75%) and 5-of-6 foul shots (83.3%).  He had a then career-high 20 points against Geneva and reset that mark with a career-high 25 markers versus Hiram.

Payne and the Yellow Jacket men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, December 1 when they host OAC-rival Heidelberg University in the 2010-11 OAC opener in the Rudolph Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Center at 7:30 p.m.
