Hoysak ’19 Named Head Cheer Coach

BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University Director of Athletics Steve Thompson has announced the hiring of Liv Hoysak '19 as head cheer coach.

"I am excited and honored for the opportunity to lead the cheer program at my alma mater," said Hoysak.  "You never expect to get a chance to come back and work at a place where I cheered at, got my education from, and met so many lifelong friends.  I want to thank Nicole Deanna '15 for her guidance as a coach and mentor and helping to become the new head coach.  I look forward to guiding the cheer program for many years to come."

Hoysak, who served as an assistant coach last year, works in the Parma School District as a learning lab teacher at Greenbriar Middle School.  In addition, she has served as the seventh grade cheerleading coach at Berea-Midpark Middle School for the past six years.

Hoysak earned a Bachelor of Science in middle childhood education.  While at BW, she was a four-year member of the cheerleading team, including serving team captain, and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.

Hoysak resides in Parma.
