D3Baseball.com Preseason All-America Team

BEREA, Ohio -- Baldwin Wallace University senior designated hitter Hunter Handel (Akron/ Green) has been selected as to the 2016 D3baseball.com Preseason All-America team as an honorable mention selection.

Handel, who is a two-time D3baseball.com All-Mideast Region pick, who earned third-team honors as a sophomore and second-team accolades a year ago, batted .353 in 2015 and led the team in home runs with six and runs batted-in with 49. He also had 12 doubles and 15 walks. Handel also is a two-time first-team first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference pick. In his three seasons, Handel is batting .354 with 22 doubles, three triples, and 10 homeruns, 58 runs scored, 102 RBIs and 31 walks. 

In 2015, Handel helped the BW baseball team compile a 31-12 overall record, finish with a school record for wins for the fourth straight season and advance to the NCAA Division III National Tournament for the second straight year.  In 2014, he helped BW advance to its first-ever Division III College World Series.
