ACADEMIC MAJOR: Marketing & Management

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Logan Heffernan played his third season of baseball at Baldwin Wallace University in 2015-2016. The three-year varsity contributor and starting pitcher earned his third varsity letter.

ATHLETIC HONORS:   As a freshman in 2013-2014. Logan was named to the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament all-tournament team and the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region all-tournament team.

THROUGH-THE-YEARS:   As a freshman in 2013-2014, Logan played his first season of baseball and earned his first varsity letter. He was the number three pitcher in the starting rotation and saw limited action in the outfield. Logan made 12 pitching appearances, including seven starts. He compiled a 4-4 record with a 3.89 earned run average (ERA) and 35 strikeouts and nine walks in 44 innings pitched. At the plate, Logan batted .289 (2-for-7) with a double and a run batted-in (RBI). For bhis efforts, he earned OAC Tournament all-toiurnament team honors and was named to the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region all-tournament team. Logan helped BW set a single-seaspn school-record with 30 victories, compile a 30-20 record, finish second at the OAC Tournament, win the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region title and advance to the school's first-ever NCAA Division III College World Series.

As a sophomore in 2014-2015, Logan played his second season of baseball and earned his second varsity letter. He split time between pitching and as an outfielder. On the mound, Logan appeared in 10 games, including eight as a starter, and compiled a 4-3 record with one save and a 5.15 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 45 and one-third innings pitched. He had one complete game. At the plate, Logan batted .243 (9-for-37) with one run scored and four RBI. BW finished with a school-record 31 victories and a 31-12 record. The Yellow Jackets finished fourth at the OAC Tournament and advanced to their second straight NCAA Division III Regional Tournament.

As a junior in 2015-2016, Logan played his third season of baseball and earned his third letter. Despite some pre-season injuries, Logan appearned in nine games as a pitcher, including four starts, and in five games as either an outfielder, designated hitter or pinch-hitter. On the mound, he compiled a 2-0 record with a 4.85 earned run average and struck out 22 opposing hitters in 29 and two-third innings pitched. At the plate, Logan was 1-for-7 with a run scored and three RBI. BW finished 23-20 overall, tied for second in the OAC at 13-5 and advanced to the OAC Championship Game.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Logan Heffernan grew up in Lebanon, Ohio and graduated from Lebanon High School.

Logan played four years of baseball and earned three varsity letters. He was a two-time first-team All-Conference selection who set a Lebanon H.S. school record with a 0.64 ERA as a senior.
